If you don't know your Eclipse keyboard from your IDE shortcuts...

i originally came from a development environment called 4D, which has a super IDE that makes development pretty quick and easy. every now and again I wish Eclipse would behave in a similar way to 4D's IDE... One thing I miss is being able to open each function in a self contained floating window (yep, multiple windows :] ) rather than the cursor jumping up and down, opening new tabs and bouncing around the source files, you could drill in through the function-call-chain and as you close each window you can trail back to where you started. I guess a bit like Hansel and Gretel leaving a trail of bread...

i've just discovered how to stop Eclipse from eating my bread crumbs and it's really pretty easy... Using ALT+LEFT and ALT+RIGHT you can navigate through the history of edit locations which gives you a similar effect. More shortcuts can be found here: http://eclipse-tools.sourceforge.net/EclipseEmacsKeybindings_3_1.pdf
